Good Evening Friends….

The pleasure painting gives me cannot be bought with money. While I paint, many a time I surprise myself, I can hold the brush, I can still have a good grip on my pencils and markers…I can still try different stokes. For me, painting is not only a stress buster but also I get relieved from all my pain that I generally face due to the huge cyst in my right elbow. Though these two images took me around 7-8 hours of painting and I really felt tired making grip on my pencils but I totally enjoyed the complete process. When I paint,  I move into a lovely world of my own where I create as I please.

For this card I have used Make a Wish stamp from Clearly Besotted and painted the images with Faber Castel Polychromes. To me Polychromes work best on paper which has soft textures. Generally I use backside of Canson waterolor paper but for these images I wanted to avoid showing prominent strokes that we get on textured papers. So I tried it on Beillo Paper.  I used flicking technique and used 3-4 shades, darker to lighter to get the smoothe results. It took me long 7-8 to paint two images but it was really worth spending that much of time on painting.  Once, I was happy with the results, I fussy cut the images and highlightedd them usng white gelly roll pen.

The background is simply water washed using distress inks and the edges are cut with a Sstitched Basic Edge Die by MFT. I kept the sentiment simple and small as I wanted the painted images to show competely, popping from the background. To finish the card, I have given very delicate white splatters with diluted gesso, layered the images with foam dots and added few clear sequence for the sparkle. The complete panel was then layered on the scored cardstock.

Ahhhh……Loved the over all results. Here are few close ups to show more details.

I love sharing my crafty efforts with you all. That makes me happy.  Do pour your love if you like my card.

Thanks for stopping by…
