Good Morning, Friends!!

It’s inspiration Tuesday with Amazing Paper Grace. Continuing with Right Words Collection, I have this beautiful set of cards in pink to share. This time I tried Ombre inking technique to create variations in backgrounds using the lacy border dies from the set. Creating Ombre Diecut Backgrounds was so much fun! I avoided adding flowers and kept the cards simple to showcase the real beauty of repeated backgrounds. Here is my first card which is a shaker card.

I created the card front by repeatedly cutting the fancy lace border using Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection, keeping a cardstock a little bigger so that I have a 1/2″ border on all sides to hold the dimensional tapes for the shaker card. Then I simply cut the pattern from the die-cut panel to make a good room for my sentiment.

For the shaker background, I created an Ombre inked panel using distress oxides in the shades of pinks. The sentiment used is customized using My Sweet Friend Etched Dies and Thank you for your Kindness Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection. The shaker card is adorned using vellum butterflies which I created using Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5 x 7″ Card Base Etched Dies from the Garden Shutters Collection. Here are a few more closeups.

Here is the second card which showcases. You’re Amazing Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection. I, fIrst created an Ombre inked background and then created a background by cutting the lacy pattern thrice within the panel. I kept the panel a little longer on the top to fit in the sentiment without hiding the beauty of the card front. I embellished the card using pearls from my stash and vellum butterflies. Here are a few more close-up shots showing the beautiful Ombre background.

Here is the third and final card for today. I was really curious to know if I can cut a pattern in the center and make another sentiment fit without hiding the beauty of the card front? In this card, I cut the panel and created a vellum window to display the sentiment and it turned out so beautiful. The sentiment used is from Merry Everything Words Etched Dies from the Right Words Collection and the die used to create the window is Fluted Classics Circles Etched Dies from the Fluted Classics Collection.
