Classic Rose Tiara

Other products used: Archival inks- Library Green, Plum, Leaf Green, Venetian Orange , Distress inks- Aged mahogany, Clear Glitter, Adhesive that dries clear, white heavy gesso, Smoothe white card stock,

Instructions: For coloring and shaping the flowers check Emma’s video here. For the base of tiara you need to have 3 strips measuring 2 1/2 ” by 12 “. Draw a line at 3/4′ (on the longer side)to create the base ring of the tiara. Also,draw a line in the centre at 6 ” as a guide which will help you align the die exact in the centre. Starting from the centre cut Ornate Borders and the pocket die thrice from all the three strips. Take little extra care by marking with a pencil while aligning the die, always. Stick all the strips together with glue that dries clear. Give 2-3 coatings of heavy white gesso, drying in between all the coats. Keep bending and keep giving the shape while it is wet. Once you are satisfied with the shape, paint the tiara with acrylic paints of your choice. I have used Dusty in color- Crushed Olive and highlighted it with Metallic gold paint. The base of the tiara has pattern paper on both sides from the same collection. All the flowers and leaves are dusted with clear glitter. Decorate the tiara with different sizeS of roses and leaves from the same collection as shown with the help of hot glue.
