Good Morning peeps…
It’s time for the new collection again!!
We, designers at Heartfelt Creations are debuting the last collection for the year 2017, Camelia Carnation Collection. Loads more are coming your way in 2018 too. Beautifully ruffled in delicate layers and commonly gifted to express love, fascination, and distinction, the carnation flower is certainly recognizable and a floral garden and arrangement favorite. Thought to be one of the oldest cultivated flowers in the world, the carnation is traditionally associated with the Mother’s Day holiday, but is also known to be a wonderful choice for birthdays, weddings and just because of occasions. With an outstanding reputation as a cut flower and an amazing array of colors and sizes, it is no wonder that the carnation flower remains so popular today! Heartfelt Creations invites you to celebrate the beauty and gentle humbleness of the carnation with the Camelia Carnation Collection! With a color palette of fiery reds, pastel pinks, sunset orange tones, and lush hues of greens, the gorgeous paper collection brings with it a bold but feminine feel. Filled with attractive carnations clusters, exquisite flower gardens, and decorative lace-like details, this pretty paper collection is sure to become a perennial favorite. Two cling stamp sets and coordinating dies come together to create enamoring and realistic carnation blossoms with delicately illustrated details and varying sized petals ideal for assembling full sized carnation flowers to charming mini versions, while a third cling stamp set lends itself perfectly to layering and creating dimensional carnation clusters. So join us as we celebrate and give recognition to the traditional, but somewhat overlooked and under-praised carnation flower!
For today’s inspiration, I have an altered bottle to share. I never tried Decopauge earlier and this is my very first try on the altered bottle as well. Hope you like it as much as I liked creating it.

Instructions: Prepare the surface of the glass bottle by adding 2 -3 coats of gesso with the help of wet Hydra Sponge. Dry in between the coats. Fussy cut the border from the pattern Paper and, mist it with little water and decopauge it on the bottom of the bottle as shown, with the help of Decopauge glue. Start painting the bottle from the top. Use Hydra sponge for the complete process.I started with Sunburst Orange from Dusty Attic on the top, blended with Gingernut on the neck and Cranberry on the body of the bottle. The little base showing has the shades of dusty in color Forest. Once, satisfied with the coloring, and the bottle is completely dried, give 2 coats of decopauge varnish. Dab little glue that dries clear on the neck of the bottle and sprinkle Frosting Powder.
For flowers, Stamp multiple images with Archival Plum for the orange and purple Carnations. For creating orange Carnations, paint 6 petals of the same size with Colorbox Harvest and highlight the edges with Vibrant Fuschia. For shaping the flower, follow Emma’s video. For purple flowers, use Deep Purple and Magenta Hue.
Leaves are stamped with Library green and painted using Leaf Green and Olive green. Shape the flowers and leaves using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. The small white fillers are from Wildwood Cottage Floral Die.
Cut 4 pieces of lacy border from white cardstock using Cut Mat Create 2A Die and glue them on all the four sides at the bottom of the bottle.
Once all the elements are ready, make a small bouquet on the neck of the bottle and add sparkle to the flowers with Crystal Clear Powder.
Decorate the bottle little more by tying a string and 2 tags hanging down on the edges. Further, add a string of white beads on one side with the help of hot glue.
Wow, this is simply stunning!
