Good Morning Friends….

A warm welcome to my blog again. For Today’s Heartfelt inspiration, I have a card to share with Painted Peonies. I loved the scale of the stamped images. Though it took little time to paint these as I colored these peonies with pencil colors…..but it was all worth every effort.

Videos Referred: For more tips on creating with the border dies & foldout cards, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/wxX94X84kUo.

Instructions: The ready side fold card measures 6″ by 8″. To create a top panel choose 2 papers from the designer paper collection, one with a bold print and other with soft print. Cut a strip measuring 2 1/2″ by 5 1/2″ from soft print and a strip of 4 1/2′ by 5 1/2″ from the bold design. Glue both the papers together and hide the joint with a strip of gold and green strip. Arrange white die cuts using the Sweetheat die on both the sides of the strip.

The lower end of the panel is cut using Fluer Basic Border Die. Glue a fancy border on the edge as shown. Layer the whole panel on 5 1/2″ by 7 1/2″ green color pattern paper. Further layer the ready top panel on the ready base.

For painted peonies. stamp all the images twice using black archival ink and cut them using their coordinating dies. Paint the images using Faber Castle Pencil Colors. Layer the images using foam dots and arrange them on the card panel as shown.

Butterfly images from Butterfly Medley stamp are stamped with Versamark and white heat embossed on vellum. These are then cut using Butterfly Medley Die. Once all the embellishments are ready, arrange them as shown and finish the card by adding glitter and sentiment from the paper collection.
